Originally loyal to the Imperium, they were transformed during the Horus Heresy and fell under the influence of Khorne, the Chaos God of war and bloodshed. Many of their warriors are driven to near-madness by implanted devices known as Butcher’s Nails. These cybernetic implants intensify their aggression, transforming them into unstoppable berserkers, making them one of the most feared and tragic embodiments of Chaos.
